What happens when you finally follow your bliss? Message from a Crone

After entering the Crone phase of my life, I have come to realize that I have spent the better part of my life taking care of others, always setting my own needs, wants and desires on the back shelf. When I stopped and asked myself "what I would do if money was no object?" I had to really dig deep. I had been ignoring myself for so long that I had to think about it, and think about it again.
When I finally came to realize what I really wanted to be when I grew up, I had to sit with it for a long time before saying the words out loud - before claiming my own desires. As mothers, grandmothers and women of this world, we have been conditioned to ignore ourselves for the betterment of our communities, our families and our partners. But what if achieving our own dreams is also for the betterment of others? What if filling our own cups gives us the strength, the motivation and the joy that we need to be more present, more supportive and more understanding?
Guess what, it does.
When we follow our bliss, we find our own power. The power that was always there, the divine in each of us wants - needs - to shine for us to walk in our true selves. So take some time. Dig deep into your heart, your soul. Discover what lights up your spirit. What is your super power? Find your joy, Darling, and share it with the world.
